Usage

Start What's Now Playing from wherever you installed it. On first launch, a Settings window will appear. Configure your DJ software and outputs, then click Save. The app will then run in the background; an arrow will point you to the menu bar icon (macOS) or system tray icon (Windows).

  • About What's Now Playing - Shows version and application information
  • Documentation - Opens the documentation for the current version in your default browser
  • Settings - Reconfigure the application. See Settings for more information.
  • Requests - Open the track requests window
  • Newest/Oldest - Toggle mixing mode detection (not supported by all DJ software):
  • Newest mode: Tracks the most recently loaded song across decks (for AutoDJ/playlists)
  • Oldest mode: Tracks the oldest song across decks (for manual crossfading)
  • Guess Game - Enable or disable the Twitch chat guessing game. See Guess Game for more information.
  • Pause/Resume - Stop or resume track detection and output updates
  • Exit - Quit What's Now Playing
